An advanced interactive course on Sustainable Electric Mobility Engineering
The bEyonD the boRder of electrΙc VEhicles: an advanced inTeractive cOURse (E-DRIVE TOUR) project aims to develop an advanced interactive course related to Sustainable Electric Mobility Engineering that will train individuals with the necessary skills & knowledge to work in the electrical automotive industry as well as in the Ultra Lightweight Vehicle (ULV) that comprises e-bikes and e-cargo bikes.
The course will be open for participation for anyone with a basic electrical or mechanical technical background. Priority will be given according to their academic performance & in the case of equivalent academic level then participants from less advantaged socio-economic backgrounds (including refugees, asylum seekers & migrants) will be preferred. In the third period, all participating students will be spread to the partner – companies in order to perform a 14-day internship focused on electric vehicle technology.
The innovative curriculum comprises of interactive teaching methods & partnerships with expert academic & industrial organizations in order to give to the students a solid background for starting a fruitful career in the industry.
The E-DRIVE TOUR consortium brings together:
3 Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs): International Hellenic University, Greece (COORDINATOR); University of Technology and Humanities in Radom, Poland; University of Craiova, Romania
6 Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): Cerca Trova, Bulgaria; eZee Europe, Belgium; Inteligg, Greece; eProInn, Italy; Triggo, Poland; European Certification and Qualification Association, Austria
1 Research Institutes: Hellenic Institute of Transport (CERTH), Greece
E-DRIVE TOUR aims at the development of an interactive course on electric vehicles with a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum that includes reconfigurable laboratory apparatus, innovative demonstrator group assignment & an industrial experience to equip the participants with the necessary experience to enter the emerging market of Electric Mobility.
The course is also formulated to stimulate transversal competences such as the increased sense of initiative & entrepreneurship. It is designed to follow the European Credit Transfer & Accumulation System (ECTS) credit standards for certification recognition across the EU.
Also the consortium aims to implement Augmented Reality (AR) techniques as a student practice laboratory to enable them to enter the growing AR trend that large automotive companies are currently developing.
